What’s Allowed (MPL 2.0 + Attribution)

You CAN:

  • Use the framework for any purpose (personal, educational, commercial)
  • Modify and create derivative works
  • Distribute the framework and modifications
  • Use in open-source projects
  • Use in proprietary projects (with attribution)
  • Reference principles in your governance documentation

⚠️ You MUST:

  • Provide attribution to the framework, Nilay Parikh, and localm.ai
  • Include the original license in distributed copies
  • Disclose source code of modifications to MPL-licensed framework files only
  • Use the same license (MPL 2.0) for modifications to MPL framework files

You CANNOT:

  • Remove or obscure attribution
  • Claim the framework as your own work
  • Use LocalM™ trademarks without permission

Note: MPL 2.0 is a “file-level” copyleft license. Only modifications to the original MPL-licensed files must be disclosed. Your own proprietary code that uses or integrates the framework can remain private.
